Beach Cafes to eat at in Sydney

I love Sydney for the amount of Blue that drapes itself over the city from the glowing sun every day, Sydney Harbour and the amazing beach culture. It was always a routine when going to the beach growing up, we would take a dip then go to a place near by for a burger afterwards. Now I live in London I get to discover amazing places to eat by the beaches as all I want to do is sit down with a delicious meal and look out at the crystal blue landscapes. I am sharing with you my ultimate favourite’s from the views, to atmosphere and the delicious food.

Bondi Icebergs

Bondi Icebergs is one of the most famous locations in Bondi being 90 years old, it has its iconic pool that sits over Bondi Beach to its delicious restaurants from the Bistro to the Terrace all topped with views of the stunning beach. There is so much variety of tasty meals to enjoy, especially the fresh seafood and local produce. It a place to not miss out on. It is open from Breakfast to Dinner catering for every moment of light on the waters edge.

The Newport

The Newport is a classic for me, I have been going there for over 20 years, nothing beats enjoying a Firetruck Drink (red cordial & lemonade) and a Tandoori Chicken Pizza but that was when some of the Bayfield Clan use to run it. It has changed hands and has had a massive revamp and it is just fabulous. It is a wonderful open space with many courtyards for chilling out and eating along with the most stunning views over Pittwater. There are a variety of restaurants and bars dotted around The Newport, either having delicious burgers, pizzas and even breakfast. It is open from 9.30am to 12.30am making it the perfect place to enjoy this amazing venue any time of the day.

The Boathouse

The Boathouse is a classic place to visit in Sydney with stunning views across the blue waters and a mouth watering menu. The Boathouse Group has put together a selection of great restaurants across Sydney to give you the best experience to enjoy the beach. The Boathouse’s are located at Balmoral Beach (my personal favourite), Shelley Beach, Palm Beach, Whale Beach and Patonga Beach. The food is to die for from huge breakfast meals to the perfect lunch menu there is a great selection for every one. You can go for a swim in the crystal blue waters beforehand and pop in for a fantastic meal, it really doesn’t get better than a trip to The Boathouse.

I hope this inspires you to visit some local places in Sydney to enjoy the best of the food culture. Just by writing this blog for you, I have a strong need to go back to Sydney as soon as possible and live a life by the water so I can go for a swim and delicious feast every day.
