The Monet Experience in Florence
The Monet Experience and the Impressionist: A Digital Exhibition is such a wonderful experience to be had. It is located in a hidden Church Santo Stefano al Ponte in Florence close by Ponte Vecchio. You are taken into a underground chapel of the Church where it has a mini exhibit talking about the life of Monet until you get to a staircase that takes you from underneath into the centre of the Church, you instantly are blown away by all of the art around you.
The Church Santo Stefano al Ponte was built in the 12th Century and was reopen in 2015 as a auditorium and multimedia exhibition space to host a variety of shows, performance and concerts. The team Crossmedia Group Production has created a few Digital Exhibitions beforehand such as The Da Vinci Experience, Klimt Experience and Van Gogh Alive.
The Monet Experience show cases different moments of life Monet from his life at La Havre and his artwork throughout Normandy, his days of gardening in Giverny, the joys of painting in vivid colour right through to the beginning of the Impressionist movement along with artworks of many of Monet's peers such as Renoir and Toulouse Lactrec, you get to experience what life in Paris was as an Impression Artist.
As you sit in this wonderful church there are multiple canvas' surrounding where you get a 360° experience of all these artworks with fitting music that will bring you to tears of joy from all the beauty surrounding you. It is so easy to spend all day there enjoying this wonderful experience, I would happily go again and again.
